Basketball Recap: North Eugene Beats North Medford for Their Fourth Straight Victory

North Eugene had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 56-44 victory over the North Medford Black Tornado. The Highlanders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Black Tornado, too.

Defeat or not, North Medford got some senior leadership from Easton Curtis and Nate Anderson. Curtis posted 18 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals, while Anderson had 13 points and six rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for Anderson.

North Eugene's record now sits at 6-1. As for North Medford, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

North Eugene and Summit will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for North Medford, they will host Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts at 7:45 p.m. on December 28th. North Medford is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.7 points per game this season.
