Basketball Recap: Griffith Skates Past Bowman Academy with Ease

Griffith had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They breezed past the Bowman Academy Eagles to the tune of 74-44. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Colton Strezo had an outrageously good game as he posted 14 points along with seven boards and four steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakhari Mackey, who scored 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Griffith's record now sits at 14-8. As for Bowman Academy, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Griffith will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against East Chicago Central at 7:00 p.m. on February 28th. As for Bowman Academy, they will challenge Hammond Bishop Noll at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
