Even though the Rivera Raiders scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, the Los Fresnos Falcons still came out on top. Los Fresnos took their matchup against Rivera 62-55. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Los Fresnos also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Jj Salazar continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 31 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Munoz, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Los Fresnos is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season. As for Rivera, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-10.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Weslaco the next time they take the court. Los Fresnos will head out to face Weslaco at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Rivera will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
