Los Molinos is 1-9 against Colusa since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Los Molinos Bulldogs will be staying on the road to face off against the Colusa RedHawks at 3:15 p.m. on February 8th. Los Molinos' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
Tuesday just wasn't the day for Los Molinos' offense. Their tough 11-0 defeat to Winters on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. That's two games in a row now that Los Molinos has lost by exactly 11 goals.
Meanwhile, Colusa kept a clean sheet against Willows on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Honkers.
Colusa was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Kenneth Arias and
Cesar Cruz, who scored all three of Colusa's goals. The pair have combined for a total of nine so far this season.
Los Molinos dropped their record down to 1-13-1 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only scored zero goals over those four matches. As for Colusa, their win bumped their record up to 7-9-3.
Los Molinos might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Colusa in their previous matchup back in January. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Los Molinos was down 5-1.
