The Acalanes Dons had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 35-23 win over Birmingham on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but Acalanes sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Acalanes had a senior duo take command as Trevor Rogers picked up 146 receiving yards and two touchdowns and Sully Bailey threw for 296 yards and four touchdowns. Rogers was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 60 yards.
Despite the loss, Birmingham still got an impressive performance from Peyton Waters, who picked up 98 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Kingston Tisdell, who threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns.
Acalanes' win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Birmingham, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.
Acalanes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Birmingham also has no future games currently scheduled.
