Hobbton hasn't had much luck against Rosewood recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Meanwhile, Rosewood got the win against Lakewood on Tuesday by a conclusive 7-1. Considering the Eagles have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Robbie Boren made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Jacob Bond was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Jack Adams, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Rosewood is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Hobbton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.
