Shasta had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Truckee on Saturday. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Wolverines. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by ten runs or more this season.

Anna Pe?a was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three runs. Another player making a difference was Haley Salkeld, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Shasta is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Truckee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Coming up, Shasta will face off against Fernley at 2:40 p.m. on Saturday. As for Truckee, they will challenge Colusa at 2:40 p.m. on Saturday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the RedHawks have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
