California - Division I (8 Man) Top Player Performances of the Week
Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Levi Cavalli and Co. Win 19th in a Row
Hayfork picked up their 19th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Levi Cavalli. Burney had no answer to Cavalli as he rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 63 yards and a touchdown. Cavalli's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 116 rushing yards dating back to last season.
If history really does repeat itself, Cavalli might just drop another big game when he faces off against Loyalton on Friday. Cavalli rushed for 253 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per carry the last time he and the Grizzlies duked it out back in November of 2023.

Petterson and Loyalton will host Hayfork at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Petterson will face off against Levi Cavalli, the Timberjacks' star quarterback. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Xavier Silva's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Tulelake was led to victory by Xavier Silva, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Silva rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 72 yards and two touchdowns on only five passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 85 yards.
Silva is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Burney on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Silva saw the Raiders), he rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 138 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
