Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask St. Edmund). They walked away with  a   69-61  victory over the Sacred Heart Trojans  on Saturday. While the Fighting Blue Jays didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
St. Edmund has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record  this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 50.4 points per game. As for Sacred Heart,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-6.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Edmund will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Slaughter Community Charter at 6:00  p.m.  on January 7, 2025. Sacred Heart also won't see the court for a while: their next  game is against Teurlings Catholic at 5:30  p.m.  on January 7, 2025.
