Baseball Recap: St. Clair Makes It Three in a Row at Home

St. Clair had won three straight at home, but on Friday they bumped up to 14-5 to make it four. They came out on top against the New Haven Rockets by a score of 12-7. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Saints also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

As for New Haven, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-3-1 record this season. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this game were averaging 2.41 runs allowed.

For New Haven's part, Zach Hazley made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three RBI and one double.

Coming up, St. Clair is taking a road trip to square off against L'Anse Creuse North at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Saints' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for New Haven, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Plymouth Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m.
