The Pleasant Grove Vikings pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-59 to Skyridge. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pleasant Grove of the 70-61 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Skyridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Mosteller, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Mosteller continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Jordan Kohler was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Pleasant Grove has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season. As for Skyridge, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Grove will take on Lehi at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Lehi's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Pleasant Grove has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Skyridge, they will face off against American Fork at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. American Fork has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
