Basketball Game Preview: Big Pasture Rangers vs. Temple Tigers

Big Pasture is 10-0 against Temple since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Big Pasture Rangers will take on the Temple Tigers in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. Big Pasture knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Temple likes a good challenge.

Big Pasture will head out to face Temple after giving up their first home loss of the season on Saturday. Big Pasture took a 68-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sentinel. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Sentinel are ranked 16th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-9, which was the final score in Temple's tilt against Frederick on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bombers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Temple's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Big Pasture, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2.

Everything came up roses for Big Pasture against Temple when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 67-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Big Pasture since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
