The Fayette County Tigers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Everything went their way against LaGrange as Fayette County made off with a 61-36 win. That's another feather in the cap for Fayette County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Fayette County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Donovan Henlon out in front who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Henlon scored 15 or more points. Keith Gillespie was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Fayette County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for LaGrange, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fayette County will take on the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Tigers are ranked 57th). As for LaGrange, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
