Monday just wasn't the day for Glendale Prep Academy's offense. They came up short against Camp Verde on Monday, falling 10-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Griffins haven't been shut out since back in February.
Meanwhile, Heritage Academy entered their tilt with ALA - Anthem South on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Titans a 21-0 shutout. Considering the Heroes have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Sieana Soltero was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Savana Soltero, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Amaya LaDrigue was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Heritage Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as ALA - Anthem South struck out nine times.
Glendale Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Heritage Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.
Glendale Prep Academy might still be hurting after the 16-1 defeat they got from Heritage Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2025.
