Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Goshen Eagles walked away with it. They blew past Long 61-40. The result was nothing new for Goshen, who have now won eight matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
The win was the seventh in a row for Goshen, bringing their record for this year to 8-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Barbour County and 1-8 LaFayette (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 37.2% over those games). As for Long, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Goshen will face off against Clarke County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Long does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
