The Western Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 66-56 to Paint Valley. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the defeat, Western had strong showings from Kam Janes, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Drew Haggy, who scored 21 points along with two steals. That was a full 37.5% of Western's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Lightle, who scored seven points.
Western's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Paint Valley, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western will face off against the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Eastern has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 374 points over their last six contests. As for Paint Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against the Redstreaks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
