Forrest has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Eagleville Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Forrest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
Forrest's game was all tied up 23-23 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They received a tough blow as they fell 54-40 to Moore County. Forrest has not had much luck with Moore County recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Forrest had strong showings from Tristan Goad, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Jimmy Bond, who scored three points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him.
Meanwhile, Eagleville strolled past Mt. Pleasant with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 58-44.
Forrest's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Eagleville, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Forrest ended up a good deal behind Eagleville when the teams last played back in November, losing 56-38. Can Forrest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
