The Einstein Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. The match between them and Seneca Valley wasn't particularly close, with Einstein falling 65-50. Einstein has struggled against the Screamin' Eagles recently, as their match on Monday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Einstein's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nasir Speight, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tekli Adhanom, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Seneca Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaysen Moise led the charge by scoring 15 points. Moise hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Korey Trone was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Einstein has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Seneca Valley, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9.
Einstein will take on the Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Walter Johnson is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
