Hendersonville is 0-10 against Beech since March of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Commandos will take on the Buccaneers at 5:00 p.m. Hendersonville's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Beech's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Hendersonville will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against Floyd Central on Saturday. The Commandos' pitcher stepped up to hand the Jaguars a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Commandos, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.
Bristol Stiles made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Hendersonville got a massive performance out of Katelyn Wenzel, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave Wenzel a new career-high. Madelyn (Maddie) McCord was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.
Hendersonville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in 15 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Beech was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of Greenbrier by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Buccaneers have suffered since March 8, 2025.
Hendersonville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Beech, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Hendersonville might still be hurting after the 9-2 defeat they got from Beech when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Commandos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
