Indiana's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Valley 16-0. The matchup marked the Indians' most dominant win of the season.
Claire Brewer made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Daelyn Bish was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Sophia Boyer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Indiana was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .630. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, Knoch made easy work of Karns City on Wednesday and carried off a 10-3 victory.
Lizzie Danik was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lindsey Wise, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Indiana's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Knoch, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Indiana hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Knoch struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
