This season hasn't been kind to the Centennial Knights, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They took a 52-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parkview. While losing is never fun, Centennial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 334th, while Parkview is ranked 158th).
Loss or not, Centennial got some senior leadership from Diamond Leslie who scored 20 points and Jasmine Perez who scored 21 points. Leslie scored a full 42.6% of Centennial's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was A?Mya White, who scored 6 points.
Centennial has yet to win a game at home this season, leaving them with a 0-8 record. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.3 points per game. As for Parkview, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will take on Kell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parkview, they will head out on the road to face off against Shiloh at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
