It was a good run, but the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 59-49 to Concord. Plymouth was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Concord apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Plymouth still got an impressive performance from Lena Jones, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Mann, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Concord got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dominique Stilley out in front who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Shelby Emerick was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven assists and three steals.
Plymouth's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Concord, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plymouth will challenge Wawasee at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Wawasee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Tuesday. As for Concord, they will head out on the road to challenge Warsaw at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Warsaw is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.6 points per game.
