It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Carl Albert Titans had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Fighting Irish 51-28. Carl Albert's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carl Albert to victory, but perhaps none more so than Xavier Robinson, who rushed for 194 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. Kevin Sperry was another key contributor, throwing for 216 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes.
Carl Albert's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Bishop McGuinness, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Carl Albert will face off against Del City at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Del City is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Bishop McGuinness does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
