After flying high against Leadership & Public Service on Wednesday, Bard came back down to earth. Bard was beaten by Central 70-37 on Friday. Bard was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-19.
Michael Anderson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Central, scoring 20 points along with six steals and five assists. The contest was Anderson's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mejwad Dixon, who scored 20 points.
Bard's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Central, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bard will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Side Community at 1:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Central will finish 2023 at home by hosting Science Park at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
