Gage Grooms was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Grooms was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Brandon Rayburn was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Stepp, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
