Swansboro and Southern School of Energy and Sustainability squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Swansboro had to settle for second. They took a 78-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Spartans. The Pirates' defeat signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.

Jackson Keith was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 30 points and 11 rebounds for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability. Keith's afternoon made it 21 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Morman Jr., who shot 50% from the field en route to 19 points and five boards.

Swansboro's loss dropped their record down to 25-2. As for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 30-2.
