4A Region III District 19 recap November 5, 2013
Summer Creek extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region III District 19 this week by beating Barbers Hill, 41-10. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Bulldogs.
New Caney scaled the state rankings by moving to 879 from 937 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of besting Porter 21-7.
Austin Walter provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Crosby defeated Humble. Walter's key target this week was Vernon Allen, who caught 5 passes for 55 yards.
Aston Walter threw for 175 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Walter was a force in the backfield as the Cougars bested the Wildcats.

Crosby's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Walter has thrown for 1,893 yards and 27 touchdowns this season, while Raelon Singleton has 26 catches for 646 yards.
Jordan Alexander of the New Caney is only 52 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Alexander has rushed for 948 yards on 217 carries so far this year.
Jeff Riordan's team's Walter is within 107 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against the Spartans.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Summer Creek takes on Dayton. At the moment, Brian Ford's team is in first, while the Broncos are in fourth.
Charles West's team fell to the Cougars 49-9 last week, the largest margin of any game.
