The Brush Beetdiggers will square off against the Resurrection Christian Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Brush is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Eaton on Saturday. They lost 13-2 to the Reds.

Charley Wilson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 3-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Resurrection Christian's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
Even though they lost, Resurrection Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive matchups.

Resurrection Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Brush has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.6 strikeouts per game.
