West Jersey - Liberty recap October 29, 2013
Bordentown moved up to 203 from 233 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in West Jersey - Liberty. The Scotties were able to move up by defeating Holy Cross 42-29.
Robbinsville fell to Ewing 39-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Blue Devils' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Vandy Hall threw for 74 and 1 touchdown and Justin Reed had 37 yards receiving. On the ground Devauntay Ellis contributed 159 yards. Kani Tye helped Ewing's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 19 yards.
Ewing's dynamic duo of Hall and Reed proved tough for the Ravens to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Tye helped Ewing's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 19 yards.
Ellis was a passing and rushing force as Drew Besler's team beat Robbinsville. Ellis' favorite target this week was Reed, who caught 2 passes for 37 yards.
Irving Fryar's team's Andrew Aromando and Darron Daniel have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Aromando has thrown for 583 yards this season, while Daniel has 18 catches for 278 yards. The Blue Devils' Ellis leads the league in rushing yards with 862.
Bordentown led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on the Lancers.
