The Fivay Falcons can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. Everything went their way against River Ridge as Fivay made off with a 66-41 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Fivay has posted against River Ridge since January 24, 2020.
Antwan Brown was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarian Miller, who scored eight points along with six steals.
Several Royal Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JACOB HITCHCOCK, who scored four points. THOMAS DELORETO was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Fivay has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. As for River Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fivay won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Dunedin at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. The timing isn't great for Dunedin: they have been struggling with eight straight losses at home, while Fivay has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. As for River Ridge, they will face off against Cypress Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Manuel Castro and JACOB YEAGER.
