The Central School Pioneers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 51-9 loss at the hands of Briarfield Academy. Central School was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-8.
Neveah Farris was Central School's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Central School bumped their record down to 1-13 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.1 points per game. As for Briarfield Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.
Central School will head out on the road to square off against Riverdale Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Briarfield Academy, they will play host again and welcome Northeast Baptist, where tip off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northeast Baptist comes in on a streak of failing to score more than ten points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
