Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Detroit Community). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Detroit Leadership Academy 46-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hurricanes needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Detroit Community pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.0 points on average over those games. As for Detroit Leadership Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Detroit Community will venture away from home to take on Center Line Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
