Shawe Memorial is 0-6 against Madison since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Madison took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Shawe Memorial, who comes in off a win.
Shawe Memorial scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Crothersville 58-40.
Meanwhile, Madison pushed their score all the way to 61 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 72-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Austin. Madison has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Madison's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Landon True, who scored 26 points, and Quincy Reynolds who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. Reynolds scored a full 32.8% of Madison's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of ?scar Gonzalez, who scored four points along with five assists.
Shawe Memorial now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Shawe Memorial suffered a grim 63-41 defeat to Madison in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Shawe Memorial avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
