Softball Recap: Damascus Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Damascus had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They never let the Hereford Bulls get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. Considering the Hornets have won 15 contests by more than eight runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Aislinn Sell looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kailyn Sheahin was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Brooke Sell, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.

Damascus lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Damascus' victory bumped their record up to 16-3-1. As for Hereford, their loss dropped their record down to 15-4.

Damascus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hereford, they will face off against Glenelg at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
