Rodriguez has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on Vanden at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Rodriguez didn't get the result they wanted in their first contest with Vacaville on Thursday. They suffered a tough 3-0 loss at the hands of Vacaville. Rodriguez has struggled against Vacaville recently, as their game on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Even though Vanden has not done well against Armijo recently (they were 0-7-2 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Vanden beat Armijo by the very same score they won with last week: 3-1. The win made it back-to-back wins for Vanden.
Rodriguez's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Vanden, the victory got them back to even at 6-6-1.
Rodriguez came up short against Vanden in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 2-0. Can Rodriguez avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
