Softball Recap: Galt's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Galt's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the El Dorado Cougars. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Rianna Mayer, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Rachael Parkinson, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

The victory snapped Galt's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-13 record. As for El Dorado, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11-1.

Coming up, Galt will be playing in front of their home fans against Amador at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Buffaloes' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for El Dorado, they will head out to square off against Liberty Ranch at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
