Baseball Recap: Tucson High Magnet School Drops Highest Score of Season Against Mountain View

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tucson High Magnet School). Everything went their way against the Mountain View Mountain Lions on Friday as they made off with a 12-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Badgers in their matchups with the Mountain Lions: they've now won six in a row.

Luis Camacho looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tenochtli Nepan Ollin was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Luis Rodriquez, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Tucson High Magnet School hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain View struck out seven times.

The win got Tucson High Magnet School back to even at 9-9. As for Mountain View, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the loss, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Tucson High Magnet School will square off against Marana at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountain View, they will challenge Casa Grande at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
