After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Pineville, Ouachita Parish was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Neville Tigers with a sharp  12-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won ten matchups by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Rheagan Montgomery was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Taylor Madison, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-3.
 Montgomery wasn't the only one working in the  hit department: Ouachita Parish  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. Ouachita Parish is 12-2 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
With the  win, Ouachita Parish broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-9. As for Neville, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ouachita Parish will head out to  challenge Alexandria  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Neville, they will venture away from home to  face off against Franklin Parish  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Neville is facing Franklin Parish at the right time seeing as Franklin Parish is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
