Softball Recap: Wheeler Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

After only one run in their last match, Wheeler made sure to put some runs up on the board against New Site on Monday. Wheeler put the hurt on New Site with a sharp 17-7 win. Considering the Eagles have won nine contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Wheeler is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. New Site has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Wheeler has already played their next contest, an 11-1 win against Thrasher on the 25th. As for New Site, they will face off against Shannon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shannon has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.29 runs per game on average), something New Site will no doubt try to take advantage of.
