After flying high against the Richland Royals last Friday, the Birdville Hawks came back down to earth. Birdville had to suffer through a rough 70-36 loss at the hands of Colleyville Heritage. Birdville has struggled against Colleyville Heritage recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Colleyville Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Suliane Davis, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Davis scored 15 or more points. Journee Hampton was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Birdville has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Colleyville Heritage, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-8.
Birdville will head out on the road to face off against Lake Dallas at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Lake Dallas is ranked 566th, while Birdville is ranked 589th). As for Colleyville Heritage, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ryan at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
