AA Piedmont recap Sept. 26, 2012
Magna Vista moved up to 101 from 146 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AA Piedmont. The Warriors were able to make the jump by beating Pulaski County 34-21.
Magna Vista led the league in scoring this week after putting up 34 points on the Cougars.
Tunstall's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Chris Buckner has thrown for 434 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Peyton Farrior has five catches for 128 yards. Jacob Barnette leads the league in rushing with 240 yards.
Joe Favero's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,301 from 4,846. The improvement came about via a 34-21 victory over Pulaski County last week.
