It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Briarcrest Christian had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish. Winning may never get old, but the Saints sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Camille Northcross paced Briarcrest Christian's offense, picking up 19 kills. Northcross got some help from Sarah O'Connor and her 56 assists. Sophie Loe controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Briarcrest Christian's victory bumped their record up to 28-8. As for Knoxville Catholic, with the loss, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 25-9.

Looking ahead, Briarcrest Christian will square off against Christ Presbyterian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Knoxville Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
