The Concord Academy Eagles will take on the St. David's Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Concord Academy comes in on 12 and St. David's on four.
If Concord Academy beats St. David's with 69 points on Saturday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Concord Academy took their match last Thursday with ease, bagging a 69-5 win over Gaston Day. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 28 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Concord Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Justice Alexander, who went 9-for-14 to rack up 21 points and seven steals. Alexander's evening made it 13 games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Taylor Smith was another key player, putting up seven points along with ten steals and eight assists.
Concord Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. David's had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 39-21 victory over the Titans.
Concord Academy better keep an eye on Eliza Everett. She was instrumental in St. David's win, posting eight points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals. Everett has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Anna Hauser, who posted six points along with five boards and three steals.
Concord Academy's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.8 points over those games. As for St. David's, their victory bumped their record up to 18-7.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Concord Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 63.9 points per game. It's a different story for St. David's, though, as they've been averaging only 35.7 points. The only thing between Concord Academy and another offensive beatdown is St. David's. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Concord Academy strolled past St. David's in their previous matchup back in February of 2022 by a score of 58-42. Does Concord Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. David's turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
