The Liberty Christian Prep Lions had to endure a 13-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 71-60 victory over Landmark Christian on Tuesday. Liberty Christian Prep's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Liberty Christian Prep had a senior duo take command as Noah Frerking dropped a double-double on 35 points and 16 rebounds and Jaden Victor dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Frerking has scored at least a third of Liberty Christian Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Bass, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Liberty Christian Prep's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-14. As for Landmark Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty Christian Prep will take on West Melbourne Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Melbourne Christian Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Landmark Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Heritage Christian School at 6:30 p.m.
