After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sierra Vista, Legacy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cheyenne Desert Shields 48-14. Considering the Longhorns have won five matches by more than 29 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Legacy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Karina Alfaro, Makayla Moskowitz, and Genevieve Fanning picked up one apiece.
Legacy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.5 points. As for Cheyenne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-12.
Legacy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 24-21 defeat against Green Valley on the 21st. Cheyenne has also already played their next game, a 48-0 loss against Centennial on the 20th.
