Royal hasn't had much luck against Camarillo recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Highlanders will welcome the Scorpions at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Royal 4.1, Camarillo 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Royal is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest defeat since May 7, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Moorpark by a score of 3-1.

Julianna Galbraith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Royal saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mikaela Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Another was Holly White, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Camarillo put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Oak Park. The Scorpions were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Scorpions have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Camarillo is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Royal, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-6.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Royal hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Camarillo struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Royal came up short against Camarillo when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 7-2. Can the Highlanders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
