If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Shrewsbury. On Friday they take on Algonquin Regional at 7:00 PM. Shrewsbury strut in flaunting some offensive muscle with an average of 34.2 points per game.
After flying high against Leominster two weeks ago, Shrewsbury came back down to earth. Shrewsbury took a 34-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. John's. Shrewsbury's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Algonquin Regional, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to four. Last Friday, they came up short against Nashoba Regional, falling 15-29.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
