The Indian Springs Thunderbirds lost against the Spring Mountain Eagles on January 9th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Indian Springs had to suffer through a rough 64-30 loss at the hands of the Eagles. Indian Springs was down 52-23 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite the defeat, Indian Springs saw an underclassman step up: Vance Dilger scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Indian Springs dropped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.0 points per game. As for Spring Mountain, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.
Coincidentally, Indian Springs and the Eagles will both be playing the Knights the next time they take the court. Spring Mountain will head out to face Round Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Indian Springs will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
