Pacific Grove didn't get the result they wanted in their first game with St. Francis on Monday. They will be looking for a result a little better than the 2-0 defeat they were dealt on Monday when they meet later in the season.
Meanwhile, Anzar entered their tilt with Marina with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Anzar came out on top against Marina by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.
Pacific Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for Anzar, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-8.
Pacific Grove took their victory against Anzar in their previous matchup on January 3rd by a conclusive 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pacific Grove since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
