The Saginaw Rough Riders suffered their biggest loss since December 28, 2023 on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Aledo, falling 58-26. While losing is never fun, Saginaw can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 809th, while Aledo is ranked 133rd).
Several Rough Riders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jazmine Duncan, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Saginaw has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Aledo, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 25-8.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Brewer the next time they take the court. Saginaw will host Brewer at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Aledo will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
